South Sudan Oil & Power returns to Juba

South Sudan Oil & Power 2018 (SSOP 2018) officially kicked off on Tuesday.
Hosted by Africa Oil & Power, South Sudan’s elite energy event returns to Juba for the second year running.
Centred on the theme, Embracing the Private Sector in South Sudan, SSOP aims to address the progress the country has made in securing and growing its oil production and associated industries in the downstream and midstream sector.
This year, SSOP 2018 will include the participation of South Sudan President, H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit, First Vice President H.E Taban Deng Gai, Vice President H.E James Wani Igga and South Sudan Minister of Petroleum Hon. Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth among other dignitaries.
The three-day program will feature panel discussions focusing on public/private partnerships, the electrification of South Sudan and new companies entering South Sudan’s oil sector.
The powerful program will also include investor briefings, workshops and presentations hosted by oil and energy majors, and national oil companies, including Sahara Energy, Oranto Petroleum Nilepet and Petronas.
South Sudan Oil & Power is commissioned and endorsed by the Ministry of Petroleum and Ministry of Energy and Dams of South Sudan, and is taking place from November 20-22, 2018, at the Crown Hotel, Juba.
