The IFC has also aided in increasing Senegal’s installed power generation capacity. In the field of solar energy, the IFC assisted the Senegalese government in securing 60 MW of new production capacity, particularly through solar power plant projects in Kael and Kahone.
This is consistent with the IFC’s wider goal to boost Senegal’s total power generation capacity by 30%.
