The newly appointed Secretary of State for Urbanism and Housing will be responsible for proposing the formulation of policies while overseeing community development, maintenance of public housing and implementation of development projects.
With a market size of $19.2 billion as of 2022, Angola’s construction sector is projected to grow by up to 6% between 2024 and 2027, which will be supported through investment as part of the country’s Industrial Development Plan 2021-2025. Under the development plan, Angola’s Government will aim to attract private investment, increase national production, reduce imports, and create employment in the industrial sector.
Key areas in Angola’s construction sector include commercial construction, industry, infrastructure, energy and utilities, institutional construction, and residential and urban development.
