TAAG Angola Airlines, the state-owned airline of Angola, plans to enhance connectivity between Luanda and São Paulo, Brazil by increasing the weekly flights from four to six.

This strategic move aims to meet the growing market demand and provide improved travel options for passengers between these Portuguese-speaking nations.

The announcement follows a codeshare agreement between TAAG Angola Airlines and Brazilian airline, GOL Airlines.

TAAG Angola will introduce a regular night flight departure on Wednesdays from the Luanda International Airport to the São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport using a Boeing 777 aircraft.

With growing demand by tourists, families, and the business sector, Luanda and São Paulo are poised to benefit from their strategic position as connection hubs between South America, Africa and Europe.

“TAAG Angola Airlines is committed to continually improving customer service, providing families and the corporate segment with greater connection availability covering destinations with high demand,” Angola’s national flag carrier stated, adding, “On this route, the average load factor is 73%, a positive reference within the civil aviation benchmark.”

Boasting a fleet of Boeing 777s and 737s, as well as several DHC-8-Q400 twin-turboprop regional airlines, TAAG Angola Airlines operates both domestically and internationally. The airline’s domestic network links 14 destinations while its international network connects 12 destinations. The country is poised to benefit from its air cargo services, which will play a defining role towards the country’s economic diversification and socioeconomic development.
