The Republic of Angola has expressed its intention to advance bilateral relations with Cape Verde, strengthening cooperation across various sectors of the economy.

The commitment was made during a five-day state visit to Angola this week by Cape Verdean Minister for Communities Forge Santos, who met with Angola’s Deputy Governor for the Luanda Province Manuel Gonçalves as well as other high-level Angolan entities.

During the meetings, parties agreed to expand cooperation across the transport and energy industries while advancing cultural bonds as well as political and diplomatic relations. Angola and Cape Verde will join efforts to establish a Cape Verdean Culture House in Luanda.

According to the Cape Verdean Minister, relations with the Luanda Province have and will continue to be highly important for the archipelago.
